We are looking for an individual to help us train the public and build up our whale sighting network along the coast. Real time whale sightings and the pertinant information we need to collect can help aid research and policy makers. Having a solid network of well trained observers is vital to this process. Someone with good people skills and possibly social networking skills would be useful. We request a dependable and independent worker who is also willing to attend various festivals and conduct outreach presentations on our work and whale research in general. We are looking for a mature person to help us with our orders. Must have a storage area appropriate to keep inventory dry and cataloged. Would prefer someone close to Mendocino County coast.

Eager to volunteer your skills and time to help declining whales and dolphins? Well then, we are putting out a call for new Directors. Desired skills needed are: 1) love of marine life, 2) positive can-do attitude, 3) knowledge of how non-profits work, 4) unique skill sets such as CPA, non-profit law, fundraising, public outreach would be useful. Directors hold virtual meetings four times a year, volunteer on various public events, and donate monetarily to fundraisers and projects.
